Local Funding

A number of local sources can be cultivated to help fund local after-school programs. The Afterschool Alliance has identified resources to identify them.

Dewayne White After-School Fitness Award

The Michigan After-School Partnership, in conjunction with the After-School All-Stars and Detroit Lions player, DeWayne White, is pleased to offer the Dewayne White After-School Fitness Award to after-school programs in the Detroit area.  These awards consist of a $1000 mini-grant and a free ReCharge! Energizing After-school™ curriculum kit (valued at $225) to after-school programs in the Detroit area that are committed to developing health, fitness and wellness with the students it serves.  To apply for a mini-grant please download the application to fill out and submit by Friday, December 19, 2008.
