Dimensions of Success: Observation Tool [Introduction]

During this two-hour training you will learn more about Dimensions of Success (DoS) and how to effectively use the DoS tool to observe STEM programs. The DoS tool measures twelve different dimensions that fall into 4 broad domains: Features of the Learning Environment, Activity Engagement, STEM Knowledge and Practices, and Youth Development in STEM. The purpose of the tool is allowing the observer to gain an understanding of where an activity is strong or weak by drawing on evidence from practice to make the decision if there is need for more coaching or professional development.
