Professional Development Guide

MAC Conferences

The Michigan Afterschool Collaborative Annual Conference (spring) and Michigan Afterschool Collaborative Leadership Summit (fall) are hosted annually.

Dynamic, powerful, and engaging, these events offer valuable insights for leaders in Michigan’s OST sector. They are co-sponsored by the Michigan Afterschool Partnership (MASP) and the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) Office of Education Partnerships (21st Century Community Learning Centers and 32n Grants), in partnership with the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).

Communities of Practice

Shared areas of interest, opportunities to practice, and experiencing a sense of belonging are central to learning, no matter your age, education, or experience.

The following “Communities of Practice” situate training and learning within a group of individuals who share a desire to grow a specific area of their practice over time. If you’re drawn to community and are committed to growth, consider joining one of our Communities of Practice.

Certificate and Credential Program

The MI-YDA Certificate and Credential support quality programs for school-age children and youth by providing standards for training and evaluation. The MI-YDA is based on and replaces the Michigan School-Age Youth Development (MISAYD).
