Now Accepting Applications: 2026–2029 Youth Advisory Council

Are you ready to make your voice heard and help shape the future of out-of-school time programs in Michigan?

The Michigan Afterschool Partnership (MASP) is now accepting applications for the 2026–2029 Youth Advisory Council (YAC). We are seeking passionate young people ages 14–18 who want to advocate for their peers, influence programs and policies, and help ensure youth perspectives are represented in decisions that impact young people across the state.

About the YAC

  • Promote youth voice and leadership opportunities

  • Contribute ideas for events, communications, and advocacy efforts

  • Help increase accessibility and equity in out-of-school time opportunities

  • Represent youth perspectives on issues affecting Michigan communities

Why Join?

As a YAC member, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Build leadership, communication, and advocacy skills

  • Connect with youth leaders from across Michigan

  • Gain experience working on real projects and initiatives

  • Help improve opportunities for young people statewide

  • Receive a stipend for participation
