Governor Whitmer Proclaims July 14–18 as Summer Learning Week in Michigan

We’re excited to share that Governor Gretchen Whitmer has officially proclaimed July 14–18, 2025 as Summer Learning Week in Michigan!

This statewide recognition shines a spotlight on the vital role that summer learning programs play in keeping youth engaged, supported, and thriving during the months when school is out. From hands-on STEAM activities and literacy programs to youth employment and community service opportunities, summer learning helps young people continue to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Michigan Afterschool Partnership (MASP) is proud to join partners across the state and nation in celebrating the impact of summer programs. When youth are learning, safe, and supported all year long, our communities grow stronger.
